My daughter has recently discovered Toddlers and Tiaras and is totally enamored with the idea of pageants. We really can’t afford to participate in pageants to begin with, and to top it off, my husband has pretty much forbid us from entering Mika in one anyway. So, when we are bored, we “play” pageant, and do up her hair and makeup, and glitz her out. It’s at least something fun to do, but it is scary to see my 5 year old look like she’s a teenager!

Honestly pageants scare me too- kids should look like kids.
Childhood is so fleeting and pageants might be fun once or twice, but kids look like they get tired of performing.
She is such a pretty little girl!
And hun, please watermark your photos- there were a couple blog owners having pics of their kids ’swiped’ and appearing other places.
Its as easy to ‘take’ as a right click :/

I have always said she has MODEL hair……oh my niece!!! Such a pretty thing. What are we gonna do w/ her?? Gotta thank Ellen for the reminder on the watermark, I was doing it but got out of the habit. But can’t they just crop that out anyway?
OMG my daughter is all about that show right now! I can’t find any local pageants to put her in. I will have to dress her all up and do some glamour shots for her or something.
