We recently moved, and I purged our home of tons of stuff, and I really mean TONS. Probably about 20 bags of trash, and a room full of yard sale junk were not moved with us to our new residency.
I still haven’t hung up any pictures on the wall yet, or done any special decorating, but I am starting to get used to the bare look in my home. There is something about it that keeps me less stressed, and allows me to actually “breath” without feeling claustrophobic. I’m sure it won’t stay this way forever, but I hope to keep a minimalistic approach to my house.
Things are still kind of plain jane around here, but it’s nice and I think I like it this way.

Got to love a fresh start! How exciting!
I love it! Looks like my house – well, a cleaner version of my house.
There is definitely something soothing about ridding yourself of “extra” stuff. That’s the best part of a move, I think!

I hear ya. Our little home is too stuffed with all the things the hubster thinks we have to have. It’s so hard to get him to let me get rid of anything. We have too much furniture, too much stuff up on the walls. Too much stuff too dust all the time, since we have two dogs and one who seems to shed constantly.
I think less would be so nice for a long change of pace.
Your home is very nice. Looks like your daughter loves her bed and room.
You have obviously embraced the urge to purge! Good for you!!
I like it!
