Today I set out on a mission to search for some thrifty fashion treasures from Goodwill. After reading some advice from Beauty and Bedlam on Thrift store shopping, I thought I’d try my hand at it, in particularly to snag a few more BlissDom wardrobe items. So, since I don’t have access to any “rich people” thrift stores, at least in close proximity, I hit up the next best thing-a “college town” thrift store! I spent close to two hours in the Goodwill, and I found so many great items. I even had to pare down my selections, and still made it out with quite a few fun outfits for not only myself, but for my children also.

First up-Black Blazer Sonoma Brand-$3.00

Next, a blue Old Navy Trench-type jacket-$1.00 (on clearance rack)

Black dressy top Allen B- $2.00

I think I’m going to pair this cute top with the black blazer-Daisy Fuentes (Kohl’s) for $3.00
Gotta love nearly new Nine West Brown Pumps-$3.00

I thought I’d pair this cute short-sleeved Mossimo Jacket with my yoga capris for workouts-$2.00

I’ve enjoyed scarves lately, and felt like I really scored when I found this beautiful J. Crew beauty for only $1.00

Cute Red Victoria’s Secret “Pink” Lounge Pants- $1.00

A great variety of Gymboree, Old Navy, Gap, The Children’s Place, and Osh Kosh goodies for my 2 youngest children, all around $1.00 apiece!
For my first “serious” thrifty shopping trip, I’d say I did pretty well! I have learned that next time I decide to hit the thrift store, I believe I will attempt to go by myself, and leave the 2 and 4 year old with hubby, lol. I found so many wonderful items, many namebrand, and a lot in new condition. For more fashion fun, check out the Frugal Fashionista.
Oh, and as an extra, on Ebay I bought a beautiful black Michael Kors Jersey Dress, and a pair of Manolo Blahnik Black Pumps!!! Both of which were for a fraction of the cost of brand new high-end fashion items.

It’s always easier without kids. I have to remind myself mid-shopping trip!
Have a great Tuesday!
I love thrifting! That flowy teal(?) shirt is cute!
Nice job at ther GW! I love thrift store shopping. I too find a lot of name brand stuff for myself and the kids. Do you have Once Upon a Child stores where you live? They are the best for kids clothing and toys. I do most of my shopping for my toddler there.
I am a big thrifter, but it is SO hit or miss. Your finds are great, though! I especially love the jackets.
