I have my kitchen decorated in a “Rooster” theme, and I’m always looking to add to my collection of decoration-appropriate pieces.  I stumbled upon Emerson Creek Pottery one day while browsing the web, and of course the first thing that popped out at me was the Rooster themed dishes.  They are beautifully hand-crafted and each piece looks like an individual work of art.  I was very pleased to receive a rooster brie baker from Emerson Creek Pottery, that is just the perfect little baking dish.  I am impressed that the dish looks handmade, and you can tell that pride and craftsmanship went in to making this a wonderful piece of pottery.  Here is a little more information about Emerson Creek Pottery from their site:

Our Handcrafted, Lead-Free American Ceramics Are Made Right Here in Bedford, VA!

Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Emerson Creek Pottery artisans are continuing the American tradition of pottery making in a contemporary way.

Emerson Creek Pottery’s ceramic pieces have been featured at Mt. Vernon, Monticello, and the Smithsonian Institute. Influenced by the energy of Early American cobalt decoration, owners Priscilla Palmer and Jim Leavitt founded Emerson Creek Pottery in 1977.

One winner will receive an Emerson Creek Pottery Mug.  To ENTER, please tell me in a comment how your kitchen is decorated, or if you have a theme?

I suppose our ‘theme’ is a bit accidental, but is mostly ‘contemporary’ and a bit ‘funky’. I like strong colors for the kitchen, so we have deep red and blue plates and bowls with funky glasses. There’s not really room for much decoration in the kitchen, so that kind of works with our accidental theme anyway! :)
Thanks!

The only theme my kitchen has is “not enough room for everything”. I have a very smalll kitchen and I don’t know where I would put anything decorative. But, I do love coffee mugs and would find a place for 1 more!
Thanks for the giveaway.

I have birdhouses with the main colors of red, blue and tan…. so this should fit right in!

I don’t really have a theme. My fridge is covered with pictures. I have a big glass bung of grapes shaped fruit basket. My dishes are all blue and white.

It’s very homey but not so much themed ( :
