My husband and I will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary next Thursday the 10th of December.  Yep, we were married 12-10-99, and let me tell you, at times, it’s a miracle that we’re still together!

For the past couple of years I have told my husband that we ARE going to Hawaii for our 10th anniversary.  Now that the time is here, ummm, we aren’tgoing to Hawaii.  Due to frivolous living, and a lack of planning, we will instead go on a weekend getaway to the Dallas area, and enjoy a few fun activities.

While staying in the DFW area, we will lodge in the Great Wolf Lodge, and enjoy some fun, indoor water activities, as well as enjoying some pampering time in the Elements Spa, that is located in the GWL.  During our weekend trip we also hope to attend a Broadway show, a Dallas Cowboys Football Game, and hear Ed Young Jr. preach at Fellowship Church.  Oh, and of course I can’t forget cuisine, we love to eat, so I’m sure we’ll enjoy some yummy fare while we are on our weekend away.

So, keep on the lookout for some photos and reviews of our weekend away, heck, Dallas ain’t  Hawaii, but I’m determined to have a good time!

If you’re going to be in Dallas during December, go across the street from the Great Wolf Lodge into the Gaylord Texan. It is a MUST SEE this time of year!!!! Go at night – the drive up to the hotel is amazing!!! Wait in line (if you have to) and park in the 15 minute check-in parking. Then, go inside and tour the gorgeous hotel. We just got back from our 2nd annual trip to see this hotel at Christmas. Let me know if you want more details. Or go to my blog to see pictures from this year and last year. :-) Have a good time!!!
